Rodway Farm Trip

We had lots of fun exploring the farm and meeting all the animals, including some of the 250 cows they have. We then went on to the cornfields and silage pit where we saw how they made the food the cows eat. We also visited the milking parlour and found out how they milked the cows and what happened to the milk afterwards. We also saw the humungous slurry pit on site where all the cows waste goes. We had lots of fun meeting the youngest cows on site and seeing the stages that they go through from months old to teenage years up to adult cows. We finished off the day by watching a sheep being sheared before we headed off back to school to a well-deserved ice lolly 😊

I am so proud of every single one of you for your exceptional behaviour and really showing how beautifully behaved and polite you are. I am a very proud teacher to be able to call you my class and Kingsmoor Primary School is lucky to have you 😊

We hope you enjoy looking through the photo from the day!
